Introduce GLOBALG.A.P certificate
Although Bangladesh has been export of horticulture fresh produce since long ago but this business is still in ethnic market inspire high demand of our fruits vegetables in European supermarket. Bangladesh could not yet reach the European channel supermarket due to lack GLOBAL G.A.P. certificate. Bangladesh needs to introduce this system for expanding the export with existing and diversification new market like super market in Europe and future market of USA and Japan. GLOBAL G.A.P. certification is a private worldwide standard of implementation and certification process for Good Agricultural Practices and Global GAP that assures.
GLOBAL G.A.P certificate can get individual exporters who want to production and export one or more specific vegetables and fruits from his own farm or from individual producer or cluster producers with follow worldwide standard of GLOBAL G.A.P. certification process as implementing Good Agricultural Practices and finally export the products to mainstream supermarket in different global destination especially in European supermarket. Procedure for obtaining Global GAP Certification (Annex-A).
Annex-A:
Procedure to get GLOBAL G.A.P certificate for fresh produce
- Exporters company profile: Name and all the legal documents, license, ERC, TIN, VAT registration with farmers and exporters deed.
- Selection GLOBAL GAP recognized auditing agent: Selection farm assurer and auditing agent those who are recognize agent for facilitate and provide the GLOBAL G.A.P certificate to individuals exporters or cluster farmers on the selected products for export.
- Farmers and or cluster farmers profile: Name, village, land size, products name, and so on.
- Site lay out: using GIS system, Indicate name vegetables, or fruits, each area specific so on
- Farm or site record: Name previous 3 crops, ownership of land, Source of irrigation and so on
- Site management record: Site lay out, availability electricity, water, drainage, toilet facility, risk on crop production, as physical, chemical, biological, environmental, hygiene sanitation so on
- Site risk assessment record: Site fence, protected, human, biosecurity demarcation, site isolation, animal entry protection so on
- 7. Hygiene risk assessment record: Worker attended training, hygiene, documenting training date and progress so on
- Soil management: Soil, water of the field need to be test and report.
- Soil and land related record: How soil and water sample is collected, soil type and quality
- Laboratory test reports: Laboratory test report on MRL, Irrigation water for vegetables and fruits in the field crops.
- 11. Production related record
- Seed and propagation materials: Seed source, seed treatment each step has to be recorded.
- Fertilizer: Name, source, quantity be recorded
iii. Irrigation water: Sources, quality, applying
- iv. Intercultural operation: How, when, clean the field and record be maintained.
- IPM +Pesticide: Name, type, activities, risk assessment, time use each should be recorded.
12: Environment: Lay out irrigation, link with sewerage, hand washing for workers.
- Traceability and segregation: All the work should be done with maintained proper record.
- Employee profile: Permanent, Temporary, HR policy and guideline maintained the record.
- Training record: Staff training, Exporters training, Farmers training, should be recorded
- Worker, health, safety and welfare: Workers health, safety and welfare, machinery maintained, pesticide uses, hazards first aid and first aid safety chemical all should maintained with protocol and guide line so on and recorded
- Pre-harvest field assessment check list: Check list from seedling, maturation, use water, chemical hazards will need to complete to follow protocol and recorded.
- Harvest and post-harvest management: All the record need to maintain as protocol.
- Delivery and transportation from production level to Exporters packaging house: Name, driver, and car, distance, hygienically so on need to be maintained and recorded as protocol.
- Packing list: Products name, scientific name, exporters, importers name, products destination.
- Waste and pollution management file: Waste and pollution management, protection surface and ground water, irrigation maintained file.
- Visitor and movement records: Name visitor address, designation and restriction and so on.
- 24. Audit full documents by Auditor: All the documents, activities from production to harvest to export of quarantine station all are assessment by auditor from auditor agency:
- Report by auditor: If all the above documents has completed by auditor and found satisfactory he will send the report to GLOBAL G.A.P certification international body advise them to issues GLOBAL G.A.P certificate to the specific exporter on selected field crops.
- 26. Issued GLOBAL G.A.P certificate by international GLOBAL G.A.P certification authority: International GLOBALG.A.P authority on the basis of satisfactory report of auditor they issued the GLOBAL G.A.P certificate to exporters that will make ensure exporters to export the selected vegetables to international different super channel shop especially to Europe.
- Now Exporter allows exporting vegetables international supper channel shop especially to Europe. Exporters now can collect the selected vegetables from his farmer or cluster farmer field and taken to designation quarantine office and collect phytosanitary certificate from quarantine designated officials and then with this phytosanitary certificate along with GLOBALG.A.P certificate exporters will allow to export his interested importer of super channel shop to different international destination specially in Europe through by air or by sea ways.
